Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Is the tour suitable for children and elderly travelers?

Yes, this tour is suitable for all ages. The camel ride is gentle and can be shortened for younger children or elderly travelers if needed. The desert camp offers a safe and magical experience that everyone will remember forever, from playing in the dunes to stargazing around the campfire. Please let us know your group’s needs in advance, and we will tailor the experience accordingly.

Yes, absolutely. We accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and other dietary needs on every tour; just let us know when you book. The tagines, couscous, and salads are naturally rich in fresh vegetables, beans, and local spices. Our Berber cooks are happy to prepare plant-based meals, and you’ll find that Moroccan cuisine is surprisingly vegan-friendly. No one goes hungry here.

About 1 to 1.5 hours in the afternoon, and about 1 hour the following morning.

It depends on the season. From November to February, nights can drop to 0–5°C (32–41°F), so warm pyjamas and a fleece are essential. In spring and autumn (March–May, September–October), nighttime temperatures range between 8–15°C (46–59°F),  cool but comfortable. Summer nights are mild at 18–25°C (64–77°F). Either way, we provide thick blankets, and the tents block the wind well. You’ll be cosy, not freezing.

Private tents are guaranteed, whether you book the standard or luxury camp.

Signal is available in Merzouga village and may be intermittent on the journey. In the desert camp, Wi-Fi is often available but can be limited due to the remote location, generally sufficient for messages and sharing photos, but not for streaming. We encourage you to embrace this opportunity to disconnect, enjoy the desert’s silence, and marvel at the star-filled sky without distractions.

In the luxury desert camp, yes , there are shared charging points in the main dining tent or sometimes in each tent. In the standard camp, charging is limited to the common area (e.g., the lounge tent). We always recommend bringing a fully charged power bank as a backup, since the Sahara is off-grid. Either way, you’ll have enough battery for sunset photos and emergency use.
From the essentials you don’t want to forget when you’re packing for Morocco:
  • Comfortable clothing plus some layers for cold desert nights.
  • Sturdy shoes for walking on sand and rocky terrain.
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection.
  • A camera or smartphone to bring home your wonderful Morocco memories.

Keep in mind:

Morocco uses the double-pronged plugs common in Europe (type E – type C).
